Fully Remote Accounts Payable Consultant

Overview

A nonprofit financial services organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to oversee daily accounts payable operations. Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts payable functions, processing approximately 150 invoices weekly
• Handle end-to-end invoice processing including verification, coding, approvals, and data entry into Dynamics 365 (D365)
• Prepare and execute ACH payments, international wire transfers, and other electronic payments
• Support month-end close activities by reconciling accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger
• Provide guidance and mentorship to two junior accounts payable specialists, assisting with issue resolution and task prioritization

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on accounts payable experience with high-volume invoice processing
• Proficiency in Dynamics 365 (D365) for accounts payable and related financial processes
• Experience processing ACH payments and international wire transfers
• Strong background in preparing and posting journal entries related to accounts payable
• Familiarity with nonprofit industry tax and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or senior-level accounts payable experience
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining responsiveness and collaboration
• Comfortable working in an interim or temporary capacity with quick adaptation to processes and systems
• No specific degree required; practical experience is highly valued
• Willingness to engage in a streamlined interview process
