Overview

This role involves joining a private capital ecosystem as a Certified Fund Analytics Associate operating as an independent contractor. The position offers immediate earning potential by supporting fund managers, investors, and operators with fund-level financial analysis, portfolio monitoring, and transaction work.

Responsibilities

Depending on certification approvals, Fund Analytics Associates may perform:

  • Fund performance monitoring and reporting
  • Development of 3-statement fund financial models
  • Fund-level discounted cash flow (DCF), internal rate of return (IRR), and multiple on invested capital (MOIC) modeling
  • Sensitivity and scenario analysis for portfolio returns
  • Benchmarking against comparable funds or industry metrics
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and portfolio performance metrics
  • Supporting Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis
  • Assisting with commercial, operational, and risk diligence for fund holdings
  • Preparing investment memos, fund reporting, and investor communications

Analysts are only authorized to perform work in categories for which they have explicit approval, earned through assessment and demonstrated performance.

Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Achieve a score of 70% or higher in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
  • Complete approved financial training
  • Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent

Certification Tiers and Compensation

Analyst levels and corresponding pay ranges are as follows:

  • Senior Fund Analytics Associate

    • Rating Score: 90–100
    • Pay: $150–200/hour
    • Typical Background: 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, private credit, or senior consulting with fund-level analytics, portfolio management, or reporting experience
  • Lead Fund Analytics Associate

    • Rating Score: 80–89
    • Pay: $100–150/hour
    • Typical Background: 3–5 years in fund analytics, portfolio monitoring, or financial modeling
  • Fund Analytics Associate / Analyst

    • Rating Score: 60–79
    • Pay: $50–100/hour
    • Typical Background: Entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical, analytical, and reporting skills

Each Fund Analytics Associate receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score that determines platform visibility, approved work categories, and recommended hourly rates.

Compensation & Deal Terms

  • Engagements are as independent contractors, not employees
  • Hourly rates depend on Analyst Rating Score and approval level
  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees, with a maximum of $2,500 per transaction
  • Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
  • Approvals may be revoked for quality or compliance issues

Compliance

Fund Analytics Associates do not:

  • Provide investment advice
  • Solicit securities
  • Represent the platform in a regulated or fiduciary capacity

All work is limited to analytical, diligence, reporting, and financial support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
