Overview
A multinational organization is seeking an experienced Income Tax Manager to oversee U.S. and Canada federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance, quarterly tax provisions, and complex tax planning initiatives. This remote position supports a fast-paced environment requiring strong analytical, technical, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance filings, including returns, estimated payments, and extensions
- Oversee preparation and review of quarterly income tax provision calculations, including accounting for equity compensation and mergers and acquisitions activity under IFRS
- Conduct tax research to develop technical arguments supporting filing positions and audit defense
- Analyze uncertain tax positions
- Support internal departments on tax-related matters
- Lead implementation and integration of ONESOURCE Tax Provision software to improve speed and accuracy of tax provision accounting; coordinate with local finance and tax teams to gather global tax data
- Monitor legislative changes affecting the organization and analyze impacts on current and future operations; ensure tax team remains current on developments
- Coordinate and manage indirect tax filing process with external partners
- Perform special projects as required
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in accounting required; advanced or master’s degree preferred
- CPA certification required
- Knowledge of IFRS/IAS 12; familiarity with IFRIC 23 is a plus
- Experience with CorpTax and ONESOURCE tax compliance and provision software required
- Broad-based knowledge of federal and multi-state corporate tax
- Sarbanes-Oxley experience beneficial
- Minimum 6 years of corporate income tax experience in a large national public accounting firm or multinational public company
- Ability to perform essential job functions; occasional travel may be required
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $98,000 - $181,000 per year, based on knowledge, skills, experience, location, and internal equity
