Overview
This role involves supporting retail investment research with a focus on individual investors. The position is contract-based, remote, and requires a commitment of 10–20 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $105 to $200 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Research stocks, sectors, and market trends using publicly available and professional tools such as TradingView and financial news sources.
- Develop and clearly articulate investment theses, including reasoning for entry and exit points, catalysts, and associated risks.
- Analyze price movements and market events to differentiate between noise and meaningful signals.
- Evaluate AI-generated investment insights for clarity, usefulness, and accuracy.
- Provide feedback on whether AI outputs improve decision confidence or cause confusion.
- Simulate real-world investor workflows, including idea discovery, validation, and portfolio monitoring.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Active participation in public markets such as equities, ETFs, or similar instruments.
- Demonstrated habit of independently researching and tracking investments.
- Ability to explain stock price movements and assess their significance.
- Strong intuition for market sentiment, narratives, and behavioral patterns.
- Comfort using platforms like Reddit, X (Twitter), Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, TradingView, or similar.
- Clear written communication skills with the ability to express investment reasoning effectively.
Preferred
- Experience with advanced financial tools such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ.
- Familiarity with technical analysis, financial statements, or macroeconomic indicators.
- Prior experience documenting trades, investment theses, or outcomes.
