Overview

This role involves serving as a Certified Investment Quality Reviewer within a private capital ecosystem that connects capital with talent. The position is structured as an independent contractor engagement, activated through a certification and verification process.

Responsibilities

Depending on certification approvals, reviewers may be engaged to perform the following tasks:

  • Evaluate the overall quality, completeness, and coherence of investment materials
  • Assess whether transactions meet institutional standards for investor review
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or unsupported assumptions in investment documentation
  • Determine readiness for diligence, capital raising, or investment committee review
  • Review financial models for accuracy, logic, and assumption integrity
  • Evaluate valuation methodologies including DCF, LBO, comparable companies, and precedent transactions
  • Assess sensitivity, downside, and scenario analyses
  • Review capitalization structures and sources & uses
  • Review Quality of Earnings (QoE) analyses and diligence findings
  • Assess clarity and rigor of commercial and operational diligence
  • Identify key risks, red flags, and quality concerns
  • Support investment memo refinement with quality-focused feedback

Note: Reviewers may only perform work in categories for which they have specific approval, earned through assessment and demonstrated performance.

Certification Tiers and Analyst Levels

  • Senior Investment Quality Reviewer

    • Rating Score: 90–100
    • Pay: $150–200/hour
    • Typical Background: Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, transaction advisory, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of investment evaluation experience
  • Lead Investment Quality Reviewer

    • Rating Score: 80–89
    • Pay: $100–150/hour
    • Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of deal analysis, diligence, or investment review experience
  • Investment Quality Reviewer / Associate

    • Rating Score: 60–79
    • Pay: $50–100/hour
    • Typical Background: Entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical skills and exposure to private market transactions

Requirements

To qualify for certification, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score 70% or higher in at least one category of the Certification Assessment
  • Complete approved financial training
  • Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent

Compensation & Deal Terms

  • Hourly rates range from $50 to $200 based on Analyst Rating Score, credentials, and approval scope
  • Reviewers operate as independent contractors, not employees
  • Potential to earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees, with a maximum deal-based earning of $2,500 per transaction
  • Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
  • Analyst Rating Scores (0–100) determine platform visibility, approved review categories, and recommended hourly rates
  • Approvals and platform access may be revoked for quality or compliance issues
