Payment Optimization Specialist – Middle

Overview

The organization is seeking a Payment Optimization Specialist – Middle to help improve payment performance and transaction success rates. This role focuses on turning data into actionable optimization strategies and resolving payment issues to deliver reliable, efficient payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payment performance metrics and KPIs to identify unusual patterns, emerging issues, and optimization opportunities
• Analyze transaction data and payment trends; prepare reports and recommend improvements to payment performance and revenue
• Investigate payment and integration issues using API requests, logs, Postman, browser developer tools, and monitoring systems
• Support payment configuration and transaction routing optimization based on performance data and business needs
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives, product development, and client requests
• Present analytical findings and actionable recommendations to technical and business stakeholders

Requirements

• Upper-intermediate English (B2) or higher; ability to communicate insights clearly through presentations and written reports
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and database performance tuning
• Understanding of HTTP, APIs, REST, SOAP, JSON, and web technologies; hands-on experience using Postman (or similar) and browser developer tools
• Data visualization experience with tools such as Tableau or Power BI (preferably Tableau)
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a sense of ownership, and ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with payment systems, gateways, acquirers, or payment service providers
• Understanding of payment flows, card schemes, merchant requirements, and transaction routing
• Background in technical support, integration support, or technical account management
• Programming or scripting experience, including working with APIs
• Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in data analysis and payment optimization
• Russian language proficiency
