PEPI: Associate, CFO Services (OPEN TO ALL US LOCATIONS)

Overview

This role supports CFO Services engagements with private equity–owned portfolio companies. The work focuses on preserving and generating business value through hands-on involvement in clients’ operations, improving transparency into key drivers and business performance, and supporting increased cash and EBITDA. The team helps private equity firms ensure portfolio companies have credible plans and the ability to execute and deliver financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

Data Collection, Validation and Analysis

• Identify, request, and process relevant data and information to complete fact-based analyses
• Validate all data used in calculations; reconcile models and reports individually and in aggregate
• Apply rules and critical thinking to independently produce accurate and reliable analyses
• Compile findings into spreadsheet templates and presentation slides that are clear and actionable

Project Management and Implementation

• Execute operational tasks independently, including development of tools/templates for client use, client-requested tasks, and slide deck development
• Perform quality checks on your own work product to ensure it addresses the subject question, flows logically, and is error-free
• Set up tools and use client software/apps to access client data

Teamwork

• Collaborate with other team members and share knowledge
• Treat all interactions as learning opportunities

Financial Acumen

• Use financial modeling experience and a basic understanding of financial statements, treasury, and cash management
• Understand cause/effect relationships to trial balance accounts

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university
• Educational concentration in relevant areas (accounting, finance, economics) preferred but not required
• 2-4 years of experience related to one or more of the following:
  • Accounting/Finance
  • Financial Due Diligence
  • Restructuring
  • Investment Banking
  • Private Equity
• Experience building integrated financial models
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
