Overview
This role is responsible for preparing and submitting state and federal regulatory compliance filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The position also supports regulatory compliance activities such as coordinating responses to data requests and assisting with approvals and inquiries.
Responsibilities
- File timely and accurate state and federal regulatory reports for the organization and related legal entities.
- Assist with ad hoc compliance projects as they arise during the year.
- Maintain regulatory report files and tracking databases.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with internal departments, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Manage regulatory audits.
- Coordinate responses to data requests, including seeking approvals where required.
- Support commission inquiries and related reporting (including ILEC/CLEC/IXC reports).
- Assist with AP coordination and state U.S. payment processing and maintenance of regulatory reports, logs, and databases.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree with concentration in telecommunications or accounting preferred.
- 0-1 year of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial reporting role.
- Accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Accounts Payable experience desired.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Research skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting compensation range: $50,000 to $74,500.
- Actual base pay depends on primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.
