Remote CPA Accountant / Relationship Manager

Overview

A professional services firm is seeking an Accountant/Relationship Manager to support business growth. This is a permanent direct hire role.

Compensation: Starting salary is $85,000 for 40-hour weeks year-round. There is a path to $205,000 salary based on client load (details below). Salary is not an hourly position.

Remote & Schedule: This role is 100% remote. Availability is required between 8:30 and 4:30 CST to answer questions, with flexibility outside those hours.

Requirement: Must be a CPA.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping
• Prepare monthly reports
• Support tax planning
• Process payroll
• Complete 1099 reporting
• Handle annual report filings
• Manage client communication and relationships
• Support tax preparation for clients

Time split: Approximately 20 hours of technical work weekly and 10–20 hours of client communication, relationship management, and tax preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA with small to medium-sized firm experience required
• Strong communication skills
• Kindness and a customer-service mindset

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting salary: $85,000
• Path to salary:
  • $85,000 (50 clients)
  • $125,000 (75 clients)
  • $165,000 (100 clients)
  • Up to $205,000 salary (125 clients), then possible equity
