Remote Senior Accountant | Client Accounting Services (CAS) | Independent Boutique CPA Firm

Overview

An independent boutique CPA firm is seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Senior to join their fully remote team. This role involves working directly with clients on higher-level accounting and advisory services, supporting a diverse client base across multiple industries and entity types.

Location

• 100% Remote (preference for California-based candidates)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary up to $110,000, commensurate with experience and location
• Discretionary bonuses paid twice yearly (historically around 10%)

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client relationships with accuracy and professionalism
• Perform monthly close processes, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit schedule preparation
• Handle accounts payable, payroll processing, and intercompany transactions
• Provide higher-level review and advisory services, focusing on client accounting and advisory work

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of CAS, outsourced accounting, or client advisory services experience at a public accounting firm
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
• People management experience is a plus
