Senior Accountant

Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant – General Ledger to support the monthly close and financial reporting process. This role executes and reviews core general ledger (GL) activities, helps ensure balance sheet integrity, and supports consolidated reporting across a multi-entity, international environment.

This position is a key pillar of the close process and will work closely with the Assistant Controller to deliver a clean, predictable T+5 close.

Responsibilities

• Execute core month-end GL close activities, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of the general ledger.
• Perform FX remeasurement and related postings.
• Assist with group consolidation activities, including review of consolidation entries and FX impacts.
• Prepare variance analysis and support management reporting.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
• Enforce accounting cutoffs, standards, and close discipline.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven experience owning GL close activities or executing senior close responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
• Exposure to group consolidation concepts (including eliminations and FX).
• Strong attention to detail with a reviewer mindset.
• Ability to operate effectively under close deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Systems & Tools (strong plus):
  • NetSuite experience (GL, intercompany, reporting)
  • Experience with close management and reconciliation tools
  • Advanced Excel / reporting skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Total compensation range: €33.600—€52.800 EUR (base, variable, and equity)
• This range reflects base salary plus any variable, bonus, or sales incentives, and an estimate of the value of private company stock options where applicable.
