Overview
A Senior Associate, Proposal Pricing (West Coast) is needed to join the Proposal & Contracts team supporting biotech, medtech, and specialty pharma clients. This role contributes to transforming innovative science into new medicines, devices, and diagnostics by managing trial budgets and pricing proposals.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the trial budget process, including cost analysis, final study budget development (Out of Pocket and FTE costs), financial system maintenance, and budget management throughout the trial lifecycle, including change order budgets.
- Collaborate with Project Planning, Contract Development, and Global and Regional Project Managers to support successful study management and build internal and external relationships for financial and operational business intelligence.
- Oversee the pricing development lifecycle from customer need identification through proposal preparation, submission, and stakeholder feedback.
- Analyze customer service needs from study specifications, protocols, CRFs, and RFP information; identify discrepancies and work with Business Development to obtain data or make assumptions.
- Work with the Proposal Strategist to disseminate initial RFP information, organize costing meetings, assign responsibilities, set budget development schedules, and coordinate inputs to meet proposal timelines.
- Prepare resource/service fees and service descriptions/budget assumptions using algorithms, spreadsheets, and proposal templates.
- Conduct lessons learned analyses and provide technical guidance and training to operational employees to improve processes and consistency in cost estimates.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or international equivalent, preferably in Sciences or Business Administration/Marketing, from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years relevant industry experience with understanding of CRO services and clinical trial management processes to produce appropriate budgets for proposals.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word; experience with bid grid mapping in Excel and web-based communication tools.
- Strong team player with collaborative skills and customer service focus.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, writing, and communication skills.
- Preference for candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized minimum base pay: $80,000.00 USD.
- Actual salary will be based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency.
