Overview
This role is for a Senior Business Analyst - Financial who will collaborate closely with the Finance Supervisor to support operational performance and lead projects within the Finance Unit. The position involves documenting business requirements, facilitating change management, supporting reporting and client meetings, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for the business unit’s change requests.
- Document business requirements, process maps, decision points, and operating procedures in clear, business-friendly language.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls; support implementation and measure outcomes.
- Facilitate recurring business reviews to align priorities, timelines, risks, and readiness.
- Coordinate client and internal meetings by building agendas, capturing minutes, and tracking action items to completion.
- Prepare and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports; validate data with business owners and explain key drivers and variances.
- Support change adoption by creating training materials, updating manuals, communicating changes, and gathering feedback post-implementation.
- Promote collaboration and accountability across teams; escalate issues and recommend options when tradeoffs are necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Operations, Finance, or Process Improvement.
- Proven ability to lead meetings, facilitate alignment, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data interpretation, trend identification, and explanation of drivers.
- Experience documenting business requirements, procedures, and process flows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly learn new business tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience producing management-ready reports and presenting insights to business partners.
- Working knowledge of internal controls, audit support, and accounting standards.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $69,400 - $99,200 per year, with base pay varying by geographic region, internal equity, knowledge, skills, and experience.
