Overview
A fast-growing fintech organization is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to contribute to the development of next-generation credit underwriting models and strategies. The role involves expanding credit offerings including Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) products and supporting a flagship Earned Wage Access (EWA) product that is growing rapidly across multiple geographies.
Responsibilities
- Utilize proprietary and third-party data to reduce loss rates and enhance customer experience
- Optimize risk thresholds, policies, and strategies to broaden member access and eligibility for credit products
- Apply quantitative analytics expertise to identify risk drivers and recommend mitigation strategies
- Develop dashboards to monitor and report credit product performance
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to credit products
- Employ advanced techniques to detect and mitigate fraud risk
- Challenge conventional thinking and innovate to solve complex business problems
- Foster a strong data-driven culture by collaborating with diverse internal teams

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
- 3-5 years of analytical experience, preferably in credit risk within a FinTech environment
- Experience designing lending products compliant with US state and federal regulations
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other statistical modeling tools
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience incorporating AI tools into daily work
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Python libraries such as Pandas or Numpy for data analysis
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques

- Salary range: $155,000 - $200,000 (L3 level role)

Location
This role supports operations in the US and UK, with a globally distributed team. London-based employees are encouraged to work from the office at least one day per week. Remote candidates are supported with travel expenses for occasional visits.
