Overview

This organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to drive financial performance, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. The role partners with operational and executive leadership to deliver financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and enhance overall business performance.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Administrative Directors/Directors to develop and analyze strategic financial plans, providing strategic consulting and support for organizational and/or department financial decisions and growth strategies.
  • Identify financial risks and rewards related to strategic and tactical growth initiatives and expense reduction efforts.
  • Prepare financial and statistical analyses, graphs, and presentation materials for senior management and directors.
  • Prepare periodic statistical and month-end financial reports and financial justifications for capital expenditure requests using standard reporting templates to ensure consistency.
  • Conduct analyses to set new fees and reevaluate existing fees; assist with revenue enhancement projects.
  • Develop and analyze productivity reports, forecasts, trends, variances, and anomalies.
  • Develop and/or participate in system-wide annual and quarterly capital forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial support to management by using knowledge of financial systems, interpreting financial and accounting information, and responding to questions.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses at varying levels of complexity, including calculations involving rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial/expense performance comparisons.
  • Research and analyze financial data needed for planning, budgeting, cost control, and project control to deliver informed recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to support customer needs.
  • View clinical systems and protected health information to validate cost accounting and financial reporting.
  • Work with other Financial Operations Consultants to maintain a consistent and uniform financial approach.
  • May provide leadership and/or supervision for financial analysis, including education.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reporting using Power BI to visualize key financial and operational pharmacy metrics.
  • Use advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, financial models, data analysis) to manage complex datasets and deliver actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting or Finance or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience as an accountant, financial analyst, or auditor.
  • Experience developing financial models, including budgeting and business expansion/contracting.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience building financial models.
  • Experience with Power BI, Strata, or similar financial planning, decision support, and data visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills, including presenting to leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full time, 1.0 FTE — 40 hours/week
  • Starting salary: $79,000 and up, based on years of experience.

Location

  • Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday Days.
  • Remote options considered only for residents of WI, MN, or IA.
  • Occasional onsite need may be required in La Crosse, WI or Green Bay, WI.
