Overview

A Senior Financial Analyst role is available for a business-minded, data-driven professional skilled in translating large and complex data sets into actionable insights. This position focuses on analyzing payment acceptance rates, chargebacks, and other performance metrics to develop strategies that drive business growth. The role involves close collaboration with the development team to implement changes to the internal e-commerce platform supporting payment strategies, as well as designing reporting tools to monitor and optimize e-commerce operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns in payment processing success, chargebacks, and fraud rates
  • Monitor and forecast payment-related metrics such as acceptance rate and fraud rate
  • Predict customer behaviors through data analysis and modeling
  • Understand key drivers of company KPIs including conversion rate, lifetime value of a customer, chargeback rate, and fraud rate
  • Develop financial and statistical models to assess the contribution of these drivers to business performance
  • Track payment acceptance rates and performance trends to recommend adjustments to payment processor allocation strategies
  • Review transaction and chargeback data across various card brands, processors, and gateways to identify anomalies and recommend solutions
  • Propose improvements to operations, anti-fraud processes, and system enhancements

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, statistics, or a highly analytical finance role
  • Ability to collaborate across teams including Finance, Platform, Customer Support, Product, and Marketing
  • Extensive experience building complex financial models and conducting quantitative and qualitative financial and scenario analyses
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience presenting analysis to senior executives and acting as a business partner across departments
  • Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Pivot Tables, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative fields such as Economics, Statistics, or Business Analytics
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as SiSense or Tableau
  • Previous experience in Payments is a plus

This is a 100% remote, work-from-home position.

Additional Information

Individual pay is based on location, transferable skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus and benefits subject to applicable plan terms.
