Overview
A global visual content company is seeking a Senior Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team on a six-month maternity cover basis. This role supports the global Content business by providing revenue forecasting, operating expense planning, workforce planning, performance reporting, and long-range financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly and quarterly revenue forecasting for self-service and sales-supported channels, including products, channels, and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models linking operational and customer metrics to revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Support annual operating plans, periodic forecasts, and long-range planning for assigned business areas and cost centers.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop departmental budgets, evaluate resource allocation, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Own the Sales workforce plan in partnership with Sales and Human Resources, including hiring assumptions, attrition, open positions, and financial impact.
- Prepare monthly forecast and performance reports with clear commentary on business drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Assist in preparing quarterly executive and Board of Directors materials.
- Analyze variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted, and prior-period results; communicate findings to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Track and interpret channel-specific KPIs such as churn, net revenue retention, new-customer conversion, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable and Collections to reconcile results, improve forecast accuracy, and maintain reliable reporting.
- Develop scenario analyses and business cases to support pricing, customer acquisition, operating investments, and resource allocation decisions.
- Enhance FP&A processes, reporting standards, dashboards, documentation, and financial controls.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance, forecast accuracy, and financial planning efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, strategic finance, or corporate finance with ownership of recurring forecasting and planning.
- Proven experience forecasting revenue and operating expenses, with strong budgeting, variance analysis, and driver-based financial modeling skills.
- Experience managing workforce or headcount plans, including hiring, vacancies, attrition, and financial impact.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large or complex financial and operational datasets.
- Experience with Workday or financial planning systems such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
- Strong business partnering and communication skills, capable of presenting insights and challenging assumptions with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, quickly understand existing models and processes, and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology, media, digital, subscription, e-commerce, or services industries.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, business intelligence tools, or SQL.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $50.00–$60.00 per hour.
