Overview
This role combines core investor relations responsibilities with competitor intelligence gathering and benchmarking, and supports corporate development/planning inputs as needed. Success in this position requires strong finance and accounting knowledge, an understanding of the Life Sciences industry, and proven experience presenting to C-suite staff and/or public market investors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver clear, strategic, compelling communications to the investment community, including analysts, institutional investors, and the financial press.
- Lead initiatives that shape investor perception and support executive decision-making.
- Own financial communications, competitive intelligence, and regulatory coordination to ensure messaging is consistent, transparent, and aligned with corporate strategy.
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, peer performance, and market dynamics to inform leadership and investor messaging.
- Coordinate investor events, analyst conferences, and shareholder meetings, including content development and follow-up.
- Collaborate with SEC Reporting to ensure timely and accurate public disclosures and website postings.
- Prepare investor presentations and executive updates covering market conditions, analyst sentiment, and competitive positioning.
- Maintain investor documentation and support trade and industry event communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Post-graduate degree and/or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
- Typically 10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, FP&A, or related finance leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial performance, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and investor sentiment, translating insights into recommendations for executive leadership.
- Proven experience developing and presenting investor communications, earnings materials, executive presentations, and strategic messaging for senior leaders, analysts, and investors.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, valuation methodologies, public company reporting, and SEC disclosure requirements.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to build credibility and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time equivalent pay range: $192,288.00 - $300,450.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.
- Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
