Overview
A Senior Project Finance Analyst position is available within the Clinical Development Services-Finance team. This role supports biotech, medtech, and specialty pharmaceutical companies by managing financial aspects of clinical development projects that contribute to new medicines, devices, and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Review contract payment schedules and prepare monthly fee-for-service and pass-through invoices for assigned projects
- Analyze contracts, including budgets and hours, to ensure proper setup in the financial system and create internal tracking worksheets
- Calculate monthly contract revenue and backlog for assigned projects
- Assist Project Managers in analyzing monthly reports to track project profitability
- Attend all project-related meetings for assigned projects
- Analyze change orders and incorporate them into original contracts
- Prepare cash flow analyses and assist in creating payment schedules
- Support Project and Finance managers and core team members with project-related questions, concerns, and analyses
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role within a Contract Research Organization (CRO)
- Experience with revenue recognition systems
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Preference for candidates located on the East Coast
Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized minimum base salary: $85,000 USD
- Actual salary will be based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency
