Senior Revenue Accountant :: 100% Remote (EST hours) :: Netsuite, ARM, ASC 606

Overview

A client is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant for a fully remote position (EST hours) with a duration of 6+ months. This role involves working with complex revenue accounting tasks primarily in the Software/SaaS industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue accounting processes in compliance with ASC 606 standards.
• Handle sales incentive plans and commission accounting.
• Analyze and interpret complex contracts and agreements.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• Work with NetSuite Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) system.
• Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple tasks.
• Make sound decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
• Establish effective communication and relationships across all organizational levels.
• Document outcomes and processes clearly and accurately.
• Influence and collaborate with others using a consultative and diplomatic approach.
• Challenge existing processes and contribute to business improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of progressive revenue accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, preferably within Software/SaaS.
• Experience with sales incentive plans and commission accounting is preferred.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
• Experience with NetSuite ARM.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
