Senior Tax Associate / Manager track | Growth-Minded CPA Firm (3+ yrs exp.)

Overview

A growing advisory-focused CPA firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate with at least 3 years of public accounting tax experience to join their remote U.S.-based team. This full-time role offers a fast-track growth opportunity with a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000+ depending on experience, plus incentive and bonus opportunities. The position requires approximately 40 hours per week during the off-season, with additional hours during peak tax season. Sponsorship is not available. The start date is ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns
• Review simple returns and support tax workpapers
• Manage assigned tax tasks, timelines, and open items
• Communicate with clients regarding tax questions and deadlines
• Research tax issues and summarize findings
• Support tax planning for entrepreneurs and business owners
• Track client deliverables and follow up on missing items
• Coordinate with partners and managers on client work
• Manage competing priorities during peak tax seasons

Requirements

• Enrolled Agent credential in good standing or progress toward CPA licensure required
• Minimum of 3 years public accounting tax experience at a small to mid-sized firm
• Proven ability to prepare complex individual and business tax returns
• Experience in client-facing communication
• Proficiency with professional tax software and Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax season

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates with stronger technical expertise, client ownership, or leadership experience may be considered for Tax Manager level roles with negotiable compensation
