Overview
This Senior/Lead Analyst, Private Credit Operations role supports operational activities for the private credit team. The position partners with multiple internal groups, including other operations teams, valuations, investment management, investment product, fund services, legal and compliance, and information technology. The role helps develop and enhance private market operational processes and controls, and supports the integration and maintenance of private credit workflows within a newly developed operating model alongside the firm’s traditional public credit environment.
This position reports to the Head of Investment Operations.
Responsibilities
- Support operational aspects of the private credit lifecycle, from deal execution through settlement and payoff, including coordination across private and public credit positions.
- Perform private credit administration activities, identifying and capturing the necessary attributes to book transactions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and client custodian banks regarding private investments, including closing and settlement coordination and all post-settlement activity.
- Assist investment and legal teams with closing activities and transaction management, including coordination with external service providers.
- Act as first line of support to resolve issues related to settlement, payment discrepancies, fund administration, and agency and custodial teams.
- Support investment and trading teams with new security setup, trade compliance, and trade execution processes.
- Stay current on regulatory requirements and understand investment guidelines across multiple asset classes, products, and investment teams, acting as first line support for related queries.
- Assist the legal team with deal amendments and coordinate updates to downstream systems.
- Work with Operations and Client Relationship teams to answer custodian questions, investigate agency discrepancies, and respond to client queries.
- Act as data steward for all private market data, working with operational teams to update discrepancies across internal systems.
- Serve as Private Market liaison for cross-functional projects, ensuring representation for private markets on major firm-wide initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Finance, Economics, Math or Computer Science preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in a private credit operations role supporting the private credit lifecycle.
- Experience reviewing private credit loan documents (credit agreements, amendments, payoffs) for key terms and operational details.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, comfort with mid-level data manipulation, and ability to learn new systems.
- Solid math and quantitative skills.
- Ability to fluidly prioritize competing demands for time and attention.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of self-management.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $105,000 - $140,000 USD
- Starting salary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and local benchmarking.

Location
The private credit team includes individuals located in Minneapolis, MN, Boston, MA, and Chicago, IL, with additional remote participation.
