Overview
A healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Analyst - Financial Operations to join their team in Woonsocket, RI. This role focuses on developing and implementing analytics and business intelligence reporting to measure and improve the effectiveness of various health programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Extract, consolidate, summarize, visualize, and deliver data from multiple and potentially disparate source systems.
- Manage intake requests, assign tasks/projects to staff, conduct quality reviews, provide status updates, and manage deliverable timelines.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain operations leadership dashboards summarizing revenue cycle performance benchmarks and deviations.
- Synthesize business intelligence and trend data to support recommendations and create business intelligence tools or systems.
- Develop large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting needs.
- Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
- Transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
- Analyze and synthesize data to meet insights, reporting dashboard, and descriptive/predictive/prescriptive analytic requirements.
- Experiment with software tools and advise on new tools to determine optimal solutions.
- Support modeling/diagramming and build design specifications for data objects and processing logic.
- Collaborate with business solution strategists and support onboarding of new data sources through discovery, profiling, and mapping.
- Develop workflow solutions supporting analytics strategy expansion, including process improvement, self-service data solutions, report automation, and exception monitoring.
- Execute components of special projects as assigned.
- Build high-performance data processing frameworks leveraging cloud and/or on-premise platforms.
- Participate in proof of concepts to build data layers and derive analytical insights.
- Utilize multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate sources.
Requirements
- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Completion of graduate-level coursework, research project, internship, or thesis in each of the following areas:
- Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sectors.
- Marketing analytics, clinical trials, or health research.
- Machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Programming in R, Hadoop, or Python.
- SAS or SQL programming languages.
- Visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
- Tools to automate CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GIT, or Control-M.
- Machine Learning or NLP frameworks (e.g., Scikit-Learn, SpaCy, PyTorch, Spark NLP).
- Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases.
- Quantitative analysis techniques including clustering, regression, and pattern recognition.
- Cloud components including cluster management, Kubernetes, containerized services, storage, and workspace management.
- Relational database concepts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $98,571 to $112,200 per year, depending on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
