Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing one or more cross-functional processes such as reporting, analysis, and forecasting to support strategic goals and objectives. This role collaborates with business leaders across various departments, leveraging financial expertise to establish operational objectives and work plans. The position often involves consolidated financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain reports, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of data.
  • Conduct required analyses and provide relevant information to management.
  • Coordinate with various functions to generate expert analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with planning and achieving the annual budget.
  • Manage preparation of budget versus actual reports.
  • Provide analytical support to business leaders, including development of internal management reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute to financial planning and analysis of ROI business cases, product profitability, and related areas.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement innovative approaches to reporting, analyzing, or forecasting data.
  • Lead or personally develop improved and more automated reporting processes, streamlining workflows as new enterprise tools become available.
  • Identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with data and analysis tools relevant to the role.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, solutions, and opportunities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to various levels.
  • Strong systems and technical knowledge applicable to the role.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior leaders and executives.
  • Ability to delegate, coach, and mentor others.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business processes and management theory.
  • Ability to identify, address, and resolve employee-related issues.
  • Good judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience for senior-level responsibilities.

Physical and Work Environment

  • This is a remote position performed from the employee's home. The employee must be able to set up computer equipment in a home office.
  • Occasional in-person team meetings may be required.
  • The role is primarily sedentary and may involve repetitive motions.
  • The employee must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, operate computer and office equipment, assess electronic information, and communicate effectively.
  • Visual acuity to read text on a monitor and input data accurately is required.
  • Ability to learn new tasks, maintain focus, multitask, and work under productivity requirements.
  • Must manage moderate to significant mental stress due to workload dynamics.
