State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

• $98,569 to $120,473 (NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
• $89,608 to $109,520 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
• $80,647 to $98,569 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

In CA: Typical hiring range is $98,569 to $120,473.

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and evaluate subsidiary general ledgers.
• Prepare and maintain highly complex operating and financial reports.
• Ensure preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements are completed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (SAP), including footnote disclosure.
• Perform advanced financial analyses and special projects as required by financial management.
• Interface and maintain relationships with outside auditors and public accounting firms (as needed).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis/major in accounting program or equivalent education.
• CPA or MBA is preferred.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including 2 years of public accounting, preferably in a Big Four firm.
• Insurance accounting experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: USD $76,829.00 - USD $142,213.00 /Yr.
