Overview

Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) plays a key role on the Corporate Development (M&A) team, supporting development and growth initiatives. Responsibilities span acquisitions, joint venture de novos, and partial or whole divestitures. Work closely with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, Integration, IT, Finance, Accounting, and other stakeholders as needed.

This position is primarily remote, with the option to work from the North Bethesda, MD office alongside the department’s Vice President and two Transaction Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Build complex Excel valuation models for potential acquisitions and divestitures
  • Evaluate deals using discounted cash flow analyses and metrics such as IRR, EBITDA multiples, etc.
  • Create pro forma income and cash flow statements for potential joint ventures
  • Manage the due diligence process, including leading physical site visits, coordinating with sellers, collecting data, and ensuring appropriate review across diligence workstreams
  • Develop presentations and proposals for potential sellers, joint venture partners, senior management, and board of directors
  • Work closely with Transaction Directors and legal teams in the negotiation and drafting of definitive agreements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field at top undergraduate program
  • 2-4 years of transaction-oriented analytical experience (investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate development preferred)
  • Significant direct transaction experience
  • Strong finance, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deal environment
  • Self-starter and problem solver with the ability to think and work independently
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder with stakeholders involved in a transaction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory, or corporate development experience

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00/year

Compensation for the role depends on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.

New York

  • Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year; Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year; Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year
  • Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour; Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour; Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington

  • Exempt: $80,168.40/year
  • Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour; Burien: $21.71/hour; Everette: $20.77/hour; Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour; Renton: $21.57/hour; Seattle: $21.30/hour; Tukwila: $21.65/hour; Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
