Overview
This role is a hybrid or remote position with a preference for candidates residing in either the Central or Eastern Time Zones (U.S.). Up to 10% travel may be required.
The Senior Pricing Analyst leads and supports the development, analysis, and maintenance of pricing strategies, ensuring proposal submissions comply with government contracting regulations. Responsibilities include gathering market data, preparing reports, and providing recommendations based on financial and business insights.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Business Group Leadership and Capture Teams to develop effective cost and price strategies
- Review DRFP/RFP documentation independently to identify appropriate cost/price strategies and associated tactical approaches
- Collaborate with estimators to assemble labor and/or material costs, projecting the impact of pricing changes on revenue/profit, including multiple-outcome business case analysis
- Develop cost models and narratives for various contract types in response to request for proposals
- Support timely development of multiple pricing submissions, often within tight proposal deadlines
- Ensure compliance with Customer requirements and FAR/DFAR regulatory requirements
- Support fact-finding, government audits, customer negotiations, and certifications, ensuring TINA compliance throughout the proposal process
- Conduct strategic and risk-based reviews of other proposals as needed
- Coordinate with Pricing Management to prioritize concurrent proposal activities
- Prepare for and support color team reviews
- Potential to mentor junior analysts
- Perform and support other projects and duties as required
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to bring projects to completion with attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of Deltek ProPricer and Microsoft Excel for developing pricing models and using advanced formulas
- Strong knowledge of FAR and DFAR
- Ability to conduct detailed-level analyses (e.g., Risk and Risk Mitigation, Price-to-Win, Cash Flows) and understand them within the broader strategic context of an overall business case
- Excellent communication skills, including informing, presenting, negotiating, and problem solving with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with demonstrated drive for collaboration, continuous learning, and process improvement
Education / Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics or a related discipline, and experience providing both practical and theoretical knowledge in the field
Experience
- 6+ years or more of relevant pricing experience in Government and Commercial contracting
- Experience with International Pricing and Contracting
- Experience with government contracting and regulations (FAR, DFAR, CAS, etc.) and proposal financials, including TINA proposals and support for Government audits (DCMA, DCAA, Military direct) when required
- Experience with multiple contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, CPAF, etc.)
- Experience with COTS pricing tools (Excel and Deltek ProPricer), or other related tools
- Project Planning / Program Controls experience is a plus
- Experience in the aerospace/defense industry
Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
