Overview

This internship is a high-intensity training opportunity for early-career candidates who want hands-on exposure to lower-middle-market M&A dealmaking and deal execution.

The program emphasizes real-world communication, negotiation psychology, and rapid learning through direct involvement in deal-related conversations and tasks. You’ll receive training that enables you to move from outbound conversations into supporting real deals as early as 4 weeks.

  • Learn how buyers and sellers negotiate outside of textbooks
  • Practice controlled, professional persuasion
  • Keep conversations structured and outcome-oriented
  • Support structuring work in the lower-middle-market M&A space based on conversation insights
  • Understand seller motivations vs. buyer constraints
  • Evaluate fit, feasibility, and deal readiness
  • Learn core mechanics including earnouts, seller financing, rollover equity, reps & warranties, etc.
  • Observe and support live buyer–seller interactions
  • Help prepare call notes, next steps, and negotiation plans
  • Observe how valuation gaps and structure negotiations are handled
  • Identify what kills deals and what revives them
  • Track transaction pacing, sequencing, and the overall “psychological arc” of a deal
