Vice President, Accounting & Finance

Overview

The organization is seeking a VP of Accounting & Finance to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role reports to the CFO and will help drive the final stages of implementing Sage accounting software. It also owns the evolution of the monthly close process and related reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll support, and month-end close
• Support revenue recognition processes, particularly related to multi-element contracts
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain a monthly management reporting package and a weekly 13-week cash flow forecast
• Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
• Manage tax compliance (federal, state, local / LLC and C-corp requirements) and coordinate with external tax advisors
• Oversee development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting across the enterprise
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Sales, and Sales Operations on financial processes
• Identify and implement efficiencies in financial systems and workflows

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; 5+ years in a controller role
• Experience with G/L design and implementation of accounting software
• Experience working with Sage-Intacct and SalesForce integrations
• Experience in a professional services business model (time tracking/capacity & utilization)
• Experience with M&A (buy-sell-integration)

• CPA / MBA preferred
