Overview
An organization is seeking an International Accountant to join their Global Accounting team. This role focuses on maintaining the financial integrity of international subsidiaries while driving operational efficiency through automation and AI-enabled solutions. The position offers autonomy to identify process improvements and the support to implement innovative accounting technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle accounting for key international subsidiaries, including multi-currency journal entries, intercompany settlements, and foreign exchange impact analysis.
- Identify opportunities for automation within international accounting operations and collaborate with Finance Transformation teams to deploy AI agents and automated workflows to reduce manual tasks.
- Partner with local service providers and internal tax/legal teams to oversee statutory filings, ensure local compliance, and perform local GAAP to US GAAP reconciliations.
- Act as a strategic consultant to FP&A and Treasury by providing insights into international operating expense trends.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOX controls, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support external audits by providing accurate and timely information.
- Perform special projects as needed to support rapid organizational growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate environments, preferably within technology or high-growth companies operating under SOX compliance.
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or similar.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to strategically leverage generative AI and automation tools to enhance operational effectiveness and solve complex accounting challenges.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Proficiency in working with large datasets in Excel.
- Experience supporting external and/or internal audits, including responding to auditor requests with organized and well-supported deliverables.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $81,921 to $168,660 USD, based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
- Position is eligible for equity.
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Location & Work Model
- US-based applicants only.
- The role can be located anywhere in the United States.
- In-person collaboration is required 1 to 2 times per year.
