This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for multiple short-term rental clients within a fast-growing financial services firm specializing in back-office solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, and customized reporting. The organization supports a diverse client base across various industries and emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and institutional-quality financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations for multiple short-term rental clients.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end closings and reconciliations.
Lead and mentor a team of accountants and controllers, promoting quality, accountability, and professional development.
Develop, document, and optimize accounting processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Manage client relationships by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations.
Review and ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams and client leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Oversee system integrations, chart of accounts setup, and automation improvements across accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level position.
Strong understanding of hospitality or property management accounting structures.
Experience with vacation rentals or homeowner associations (HOAs) is preferred.
Proven ability to manage multi-entity consolidations and complex reporting environments.
Excellent communication skills with client-facing experience.
Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
