Overview
This role involves building and running healthcare practices as a sector within an AI-native private banking organization for business owners.
You will own the sector end to end—responsible for strategy, partnerships, product priorities, and the sector P&L. The position is modeled on sector coverage at an investment bank and reports directly to the CEO.
Healthcare practices is a large, fragmented, and fast-consolidating owner market, including independent physician, dental, aesthetic, veterinary, and specialty practices, as well as DSOs, MSOs, and sponsors rolling them up. Practices carry steady receivables, significant supply and equipment spend, and frequent ownership transitions, and they decide where to bank based on advice of GPOs, lenders, brokers, and the software they run on.
Responsibilities
- Own the sector P&L
- Be accountable for one number: owners in healthcare practices banking with the organization and the revenue they generate.
- Build the operating model behind it, report against it weekly, and drive performance.
- Map the sector and cover it
- Within 90 days, identify the 200 people who move healthcare practices and develop a coverage plan for each.
- Maintain ongoing coverage and prioritize time based on what drives the sector.
- Originate business
- Bring owners and firms to the organization directly through dinners, site visits, conferences, portfolio days, and referrals.
- Represent the organization in the sector and be present in it.
- Structure partnerships that move the sector
- Identify, negotiate, and own relationships post-signature for partnership types such as:
- GPOs / buying groups
- DSOs / MSOs standardizing practices on the platform
- Practice-management and/or EHR integration partners
- Equipment-lender or practice-broker referral programs
- Specialty societies
- Set the product agenda for the sector
- Define what owners require to move their primary banking relationship, in what order, and why.
- Work with product leadership to prioritize the roadmap for sector growth.
- Build and lead the sector team as the book grows
- Start with support from account executives, account managers, and member experience.
- When pipeline exceeds capacity, hire and lead your own sector team.
- Work AI-native
- Use or build tools for research, relationship tracking, outreach, and modeling so time is focused on relationships.
Requirements

- Fluency in practice economics, including:
- payer mix
- collections cycles
- supply and equipment spend
- how practices are bought and sold
- who lends to them
- Ability to structure partnerships and negotiate referral economics and to work through a term sheet without support.
- Modeling experience
- Banker-level Excel
- Working understanding of unit economics of deposits, cards, and credit
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, banking, or lending, or selling a financial product to business owners.
- Demonstrated standing in healthcare practices (e.g., podcast, newsletter, conference stage, or board seat at a trade body).
- Investing, advisory, or operating experience in a healthcare practices organization.
How To Prepare (Application)
Submit a one-pager along with your CV describing how you would bring healthcare practices to the organization. Include:
- The sector and its owners: who they are, how many fall within the organization’s range, how they make money, and where capital gets tied up.
- What they need from a bank: the products and terms that would make owners move their primary relationship, and the order.
- The map: the 20 to 30 people and institutions that move the sector, and how many you know personally.
- The first three partnerships: the programs that would put hundreds of owners on the organization at once, and why each counterparty would say yes.
- The investment and the return: a light P&L for the sector, including what the organization would need to put in over the first two years (people, product, partnership economics, marketing) and how that investment comes back through owners banking with the organization and the revenue produced.
- The plan and the team: how you would build this and what you would need to do it.
Treat the materials as a coverage pitch, bringing the map, partnerships, and economics, and be ready to defend each.
Compensation & Benefits

- Variable compensation: Targeted at 100% of base; paid based on the revenue your sector generates, including owners sourced through your partnerships.
