Accounting Manager
Overview
This is a fully remote position.
The organization operates in the pediatric mental health care sector, providing virtual and in-person services across several states in the mid-Atlantic region. This role supports the Finance team within an environment focused on growth and innovation.
This position manages daily general ledger operations and supports strategic accounting initiatives, ensuring accurate financial close processes, consolidation across multiple entities, and audit readiness. The role also contributes to building scalable accounting systems through cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Conduct detailed variance and flux analysis for financial reporting
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor management and expense processing
- Support implementation of a new ERP accounting system
- Prepare audit workpapers and internal controls for external audits
- Collaborate with Finance and People teams on operational projects
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, public accounting, or financial operations in a high-growth, multi-state environment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- Expertise in US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, complex journal entries, and variance analysis
- Experience with cloud accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and spend management platforms (Ramp, Bill.com, Rippling)
- Involvement in ERP implementation and external audit preparation
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $95,000—$110,000 USD
