Discrete Close Ownership

  • Own the accounting for a focused set of close areas, including expense accruals, ensuring related journal entries and reconciliations are accurate and well supported.
  • Review intercompany activity across a defined subset of entities operating under shared service and transfer pricing agreements to ensure settlements are recorded accurately and in accordance with those agreements.
  • Author or review monthly fluctuation analyses and month-end close documentation for owned areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.

  • Skilled at preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations with a critical, analytical approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional projects and programs, balancing execution with strategic priorities.
  • Process improvement and automation orientation, including a track record of scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; comfortable presenting to leadership and driving cross-functional alignment across Finance, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and Technology teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and build structure where none yet exists.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Workday Financials or another large ERP and similar data tools preferred.
