Accounting Operations- 6 Month Contract (100% Remote US)

Overview

This role involves managing the full monthly partner billing cycle as an Accounting Operations Contractor for a 6-month engagement, with potential for extension. The position requires hands-on execution and ownership of billing processes, partner communications, and finance operations support.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end monthly partner billing cycle, including gathering partner inputs, generating reports, coordinating internal reviews, and closing the cycle
• Handle partner-facing communications such as reviewing and sending billing emails and responding to inquiries
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies independently; escalate issues with clear documentation when necessary
• Create, issue, and track partner invoices in NetSuite; match purchase orders to invoices; confirm receipt and application of payments
• Complete vendor and customer setup for new partners, including collection of documentation, tax forms, and banking details
• Support month-end close activities through account reconciliations and journal entry preparation
• Maintain process documentation and assist with external audit requests
• Undertake ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations with a proven ability to run recurring cycles independently
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite accounts receivable and billing
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadline-driven monthly cycles without daily supervision
• Clear and professional written communication skills for direct partner interaction
• Methodical approach to reconciliation and comfortable resolving discrepancies across multiple data sources

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery for data investigation (nice to have)
• Experience in high-growth technology, marketplace, or travel companies (nice to have)
• Knowledge of revenue share, commission, or variable partner billing structures (nice to have)
