Accounting Operations Specialist

Overview

• Location: Remote, USA (Santa Barbara, CA area preferred)
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried
• Reports To: Controller

The organization is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Operations Specialist to support day-to-day accounting functions. This role owns key financial processes, including monthly client invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, expense reconciliation, and time-tracking audits. The position works closely with the Controller and requires reliability, proactive follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly invoicing cycle
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable each month
• Assist with expense reports and expense reconciliation
• Perform weekly timesheet review and time tracking audits
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and internal team members regarding invoicing, payment inquiries, and other accounting-related matters
• Perform other accounting duties as requested

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting operations, accounts payable/receivable, or client billing
• Proficiency with web-based applications
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and G Suite
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
• Experience with client invoicing in a professional services or consulting environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
