Overview
This opportunity is with an organization in the Higher Education and Healthcare industry seeking an experienced professional to support their Accounts Payable function through financial accounting and operational assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial accounting and operational support for the Accounts Payable function
- Oversee and reconcile the GR/IR (Goods Received/Invoice Received) account
- Resolve purchase order and invoicing variances
- Participate in Accounts Payable analytics and benchmarking efforts, including reporting to support leadership
- Analyze invoice exceptions, spend patterns, and vendor payment activity to identify trends and resolve issues
- Conduct quality assurance and compliance activities, including routine invoice audits and preparation of monthly reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting and/or Accounts Payable
- Strong financial analysis and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and a control-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with process improvement initiatives in Accounts Payable
- Familiarity with financial performance metrics and dashboards
