- Build and oversee labor cost planning and reporting for a large hourly workforce, including wage rates, scheduling efficiency, and overtime.
- Partner with HR leadership on hourly workforce strategy, including hiring, retention, pay structure, and employment compliance.
- Design and implement a performance bonus structure tied to clear operating metrics.
- Oversee month-end close, financial controls, and reporting through a strong, established accounting manager.
- Identify and drive cost reductions and operating efficiencies alongside operations leadership.
- Support acquisition strategy with the CEO, including diligence and integration, and assist the acquisitions lead with deal execution.
- Manage cash, treasury, banking relationships, and insurance.
- Prepare for and present at board meetings and help manage relationships with private equity investors and lenders.
- Contribute actively to the executive team.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial, tax, and employment reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in financial management leadership with increasing responsibilities, including time as a CFO or senior finance leader in a business with a large hourly workforce (e.g., multi-unit restaurants, hospitality, retail, or services).
- Proven track record driving profitability and cost discipline.
- Experience working with private equity and private equity-backed companies.
- Experience managing through M&A, including small and mid-sized acquisitions and post-close integration.
- Experience overseeing HR alongside finance, or closely partnering with HR on workforce planning and compensation.
- Experience leading other leaders with strong management and organizational skills.
- Hands-on fluency with AI tools and automation for finance and reporting, and proficiency with present-day accounting systems.
- Strong financial analytical capabilities, with data-supported recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; direct and collaborative approach.
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
