Overview
An organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee accounts payable processes across multiple U.S. portfolio companies. This full-time remote role offers a salary range of $75,000 to $120,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Operations
- Manage invoice intake, approval workflows, and ledger postings.
- Oversee vendor onboarding, master data management, and payment cycles.
- Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
Integration Support
- Collaborate with the Accounting Integration Manager to migrate newly acquired entities into the organization's AP platform.
- Standardize AP processes, workflows, and controls across acquisitions.
- Assist with system implementations, data conversions, and training.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with portfolio company teams to ensure smooth AP operations post-acquisition.
- Serve as the primary AP liaison between U.S. finance leadership and the India shared services team.
- Partner with acquisitions and operations leaders to align payment processes with business needs.
Audit & Compliance
- Support external and internal audits with AP documentation.
- Maintain segregation of duties and enforce approval protocols.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with finance leadership to enhance systems integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting/accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience managing AP for multi-entity organizations.
- Knowledge of full-cycle accounting and vendor/payment processes; accounts receivable experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting acquisition integrations.
- Strong knowledge of AP workflows, vendor management, and payment controls.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Experience with Ramp or similar AP platforms.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with offshore teams.
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and a continuous learning mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the MSP or IT services industry.
- Exposure to acquisition-driven environments or private equity-backed organizations.
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, FloQast, and ChatGPT.
Compensation & Benefits
