Overview

An organization dedicated to providing high-quality care to individuals in the community is seeking an Accounts Receivable Project Specialist. This role supports adults, children, and families by contributing to the financial operations that enable the delivery of compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and implement directives, policies, and procedures issued by the Chief Financial Officer and Business Operations Manager.
  • Communicate new or revised policies, procedures, and processes to team members to ensure up-to-date information.
  • Facilitate team operations through information sharing, identifying teamwork issues, developing problem-solving recommendations, and standardizing team operations.
  • Identify effective and ineffective practices, particularly in Individualized Care Plans (ICPs), and make recommendations to supervisors.
  • Assess training needs and submit requests to supervisors.
  • Conduct fiscal investigations as directed.
  • Report staff-related needs to immediate supervisor.
  • File various ICP claims and track, post, and file client charges.
  • Generate and file reconciliation reports.
  • Enter claims, payments, and adjustment data related to Medicaid, verifying eligibility.
  • Assist in managing fiscal departments by demonstrating initiative and expertise.
  • Maintain assigned databases.
  • Submit required documentation and meet with colleagues and the CFO as necessary.
  • Provide support to the Business Operations Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and other administrative staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate of Arts Degree or Certification in Accounting Technology, Bookkeeping, Data/Information Processing, or Business Administration Technology.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of accounting and computer experience.
  • Experience with MS Excel and accounting software is desired.
  • Knowledge of accounting methods, statistical processes, office procedures, and office equipment.
  • Proficiency with 10-key, keyboard, and computer skills, including developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to perform calculations, meet deadlines, and record data accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with the public, customers, peers, and community personnel.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, time management, punctuality, responsibility, and responsiveness to supervision.
