Accounts Receivable Representative - Remote
Overview
A healthcare organization specializing in home and community care services, including skilled nursing and assisted living, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative. The organization supports over 120,000 caregivers serving more than 50 hospitals and 1,000 clinics across multiple states, focusing on providing care to vulnerable populations.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing and collections from insurance carriers, agencies, and other payers.
- Focus on billing and follow-up for skilled nursing and assisted living services.
- Potentially support billing for self-pay, subacute, and ancillary services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent healthcare experience focused on reimbursement and collections.
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Preferred: College-level coursework in medical front office or medical billing.
- Preferred: Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) software.
Compensation
Salary ranges vary by location and are based on relevant experience and other factors. Examples include:
- Anchorage, AK: $21.16 to $32.37 per hour
- Northern California (except Humboldt): $24.74 to $37.85 per hour
- Montana (except Great Falls): $17.03 to $26.06 per hour
- Portland Service Area, OR: $21.16 to $32.37 per hour
- Western Washington (except Tukwila): $22.05 to $33.74 per hour
Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
