Overview
This role is open to applicants located in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and St. Louis.*
The Associate Finance Analyst is responsible for managing the financial aspects of a client portfolio, including commercial agreements, reporting, and daily financial activities. This position supports the finance team and business leads by delivering financial reports, reconciliations, and staff plan pricing reviews. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to ensure financial elements of client relationships are tracked, monitored, and managed.
Responsibilities
- Support the Client Finance team in monitoring the financial health of assigned client accounts
- Run month-end close reports, primarily related to revenue recognition
- Review staff plans and program estimates for accuracy and compliance with company and client policies
- Track outstanding and approved program estimates
- Generate budget and forecast reports to monitor project expenses for both fees and pass-through costs
- Assist with client budget reporting, audit requests, and data collection
- Review expense write-offs and advise Client Finance Manager/Director on expenditures
- Manage cash flow and review vendor payment requests
- Collect commentary on uncollected and past due invoices
- Facilitate communication with domestic and international offices regarding intercompany transactions and assist with processing documentation
- Review employee reimbursable expenses requiring finance approval (e.g., non-billable expenses, missing receipts)
- Review and approve travel requests from employees
- Maintain files, contracts, and other relevant documentation for the Finance team
- Run ad hoc financial queries
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills across departments
- Experience with SAP is a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000, dependent on factors such as experience, qualifications, location, and budget considerations
