Associate, Working Capital

Overview

This role supports the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – CFO Services team in various locations throughout the U.S. The PEPI practice serves middle market and large cap private equity firms that engage the organization to improve operating results at portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members through time-sensitive projects by structuring a work plan and managing the process through completion
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations
• Apply strong financial modeling skills and a solid understanding of financial statements, including development of 13-week cash flows (preferred)
• Contribute to CFO Services engagements that may include interim management (CFO, Controller, Treasurer), rapid results, CDD/strategy, merger integration & carve-outs, IT, and supply chain
• Synthesize meaningful insights from data, opinions, and facts
• Build client relationships
• Deliver high-quality work within time pressures

Requirements

• Solid understanding of finance and accounting (CPA preferred)
• 4-7+ years of relevant work experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Strategy, or related fields (e.g., Treasury, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited 4-year institution
• Strong expertise with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time at short/immediate notice

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong financial modeling experience; development of 13-week cash flows (preferred)
• Experience with Tableau and think-cell software (plus)
• Treasury / cash management experience (strong plus)
• Systems implementation experience (plus)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000-$130,000 annually, dependent on variables including education, experience, skills, and geography
• Discretionary bonus program based on factors including individual and firm performance (ask recruiter for details)
