Bilingual Spanish Seasonal TurboTax Community Tax Expert - Online Writing Role
Overview
This role is suited for a highly motivated individual with extensive tax preparation experience, strong writing skills, and a passion for assisting customers and community members. The position involves working remotely from home as part of a supportive team focused on helping customers complete their tax returns.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality written responses to tax and technical questions in an online community to assist customers with their tax returns.
- Produce accurate written content efficiently while meeting quality and productivity goals.
- Participate in various projects requiring effective writing skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Remote work-from-home setup.
- Proficient typing or voice-to-text skills required.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Active EA Certification, CPA, or JD (practicing attorney in taxation).
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience preparing federal (individual Form 1040) and state income tax returns using professional tax software in a work environment; experience with business returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) is a plus.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely, explaining complex tax issues in simple language.
- Excellent command of English, including spelling and grammar.
- Ability to understand and interpret customers' tax questions without access to their tax returns.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Technical proficiency with cloud-based applications, search engines, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and file management.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours per week), flexible within five set days.

Expected Base Pay Range:
- California Remote (Not Bay Area): $40 - $54 per hour
- New York Remote: $36.50 - $49.50 per hour
