Overview
This full-time bookkeeping role supports group travel operations, including custom cruises, tours, destination celebrations, groups, reservations, and traveler follow-through. The focus is on maintaining financial record integrity—ensuring information is complete, discrepancies are resolved with clear ownership, and documentation is audit-ready so another authorized teammate can continue work without reconstructing history.
Responsibilities
- Maintain bookkeeping workflow by reviewing financial inputs against supporting records.
- Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing.
- Track unresolved financial exceptions and ensure they have clear owners.
- Coordinate workflow by maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Protect confidential account information; escalate when required rather than assuming.
Requirements
- Experience using financial controls in support of bookkeeping activities.
- Ability to conduct transaction review while tracking exceptions, owners, and deadlines.
- Skill in documenting invoice review decisions clearly enough for another teammate to understand the reasoning.
- Sound judgment around confidentiality, including appropriate escalation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Focused bookkeeping experience within group travel operations.
- Experience with cruise and tour support.
- Reconciliation and financial reporting experience.
- Variance analysis, spreadsheet analysis, payment tracking, data validation, and audit support.
- Account analysis, documentation, exception resolution, and status reporting experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $45,000–$65,000 per year.
Location / Work Arrangement
- 100% remote within the United States.
