Overview
A leading organization in its industry is seeking a Bookkeeper to support the accounting department by managing daily financial transactions and ensuring accurate financial records. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager for North America and plays a key part in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage emails and correspondence related to accounting activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Process accounts payable transactions including vendor invoice entry, research, and weekly check runs (including ACH payments)
- Prepare credit applications and statements of account
- Record accounts receivable payments and deposits accurately
- Maintain receivables aging reports
- Add new customers and vendors into the SAP system
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Process monthly expense reports with detailed documentation
- Upload credit card expenses into SAP
- Prepare information for annual 1099 reporting
- Support the annual financial audit
- Maintain W-9 forms and ensure compliance with tax documentation requirements
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential information professionally
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles
