Overview

A remote position is available for a Client Banking Specialist - Check Registers. This role involves compiling, calculating, reconciling, and posting financial data to maintain client banking records and produce financial reports. The specialist will also support the Director of Client Banking in daily activities to achieve quality and production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Produce check run reports
  • Update tracking of all client check runs
  • Distribute client notifications for check runs daily and in a timely manner
  • Release check runs as client authorizations are received accurately and promptly
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures
  • Provide backup support and perform other duties as assigned
  • Deliver excellent customer service by demonstrating core values
  • Provide timely and thorough follow-up with internal and external customers
  • Escalate difficult issues appropriately
  • Perform quality assurance by reviewing and auditing other employees' work
  • Participate in staff and cross-departmental meetings to ensure client financial standards are met
  • Serve on committees, work groups, or process improvement teams as assigned
  • Identify and report trends outside quality parameters to supervisors
  • Conduct self-quality monitoring and develop plans to meet goals
  • Provide ongoing feedback to optimize quality performance
  • Develop or improve internal processes to enhance quality

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience
  • Prior bank reconciliation experience strongly preferred (e.g., Business Banking, Treasury Management, Funds movement process)

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to reconcile funding accounts and transactions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge
  • Proficient in 10-key and typing skills
  • Ability to follow up on assigned work and obtain proper review and approval
  • Strong analytical skills for problem resolution
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude with above-average customer service skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle stress, and interact professionally
