Co-Founder & CEO — AI-Native Accounting Firm

Overview

This partnership is seeking a Co-Founder & CEO for an AI-native accounting firm. This is a co-founder role with meaningful equity ownership from inception and is not a salaried executive position.

The firm is built around an agent fleet that runs bookkeeping, reconciliation, workpapers, and first-pass tax returns continuously. Human team members operate in reviewer seats—applying judgment, signing off, and owning the client relationship. A technical co-founder is embedded in the practice from day one to automate work alongside your workflow, so the product is grounded in real client engagements.

Responsibilities

As Co-Founder & CEO, you will set the venture’s direction and lead execution across:

• Clients: Bring an existing founding client base and win new mid-market clients through your network.
• Practice: Own quality of work, review standards, and every client relationship as the firm’s lead CPA.
• Product: Work side by side with the technical co-founder to turn your daily workflow into agents, using review corrections to drive accuracy gains.
• Licensing: Lead firm registration and CPA licensing across US states.
• Capital: Lead the seed raise, supported by the organization’s network and traction.
• Team: Hire reviewer CPAs and establish the firm’s operating foundation.

Co-Founder Profile / Qualifications

• Licensed US CPA with partner or senior manager experience at an accounting firm.
• An established book of client relationships that can be brought into a new firm.
• Hands-on experimentation with AI tools in your own practice, along with conviction that the firm model needs to change.
• Strong business development track record, including winning and retaining clients based on work quality.
• Product mindset: ability to break down your own workflow and shape how it can be automated.
• Ability to build an investor narrative and close capital with support from the venture-building partner.
• Experience in bookkeeping, tax, and advisory for 1M–20M businesses.
