Collections and Billing Specialist

Overview

This role provides collections and billing support for multiple lines of business. Responsibilities include maintaining the financial system and database for customer transactions and administering billing adjustments as part of the broader Finance and Accounting team supporting both foreign and domestic business activities.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with program participants and organizations to expedite collection of outstanding receivables.
• Work collaboratively with billing specialists in managing pre- and post-departure balances.
• Assist with financial plans for participants and institutional customers.
• Generate program bills for participants and institutional customers.
• Produce and maintain billing reports.
• Coordinate with other departments on billing transactions.
• Review multiple daily reports and enter corresponding adjustments in the financial system.
• Validate program pricing billed each program term.
• Resolve customer billing disputes, discrepancies, and irregularities.
• Assist with month-end close, including review and posting of adjusting entries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years of related work experience.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Solid written and oral communication and strong analytical skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• An associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite financial system experience.
