Overview
A well-established regional accounting firm headquartered in Orange County, California, is seeking a Senior Manager for their Consulting CAAS Department. The firm provides accounting and advisory services to businesses, governments, and non-profits, emphasizing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex projects related to accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and performance improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise on accounting standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of consultants and accountants to ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with partners, directors, and senior managers across the firm on cross-functional and cross-service line initiatives.
- Stay informed about current and emerging trends, issues, and challenges in the accounting and consulting industry.
- Demonstrate leadership, integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the organization's values and mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in public accounting or within an accounting department, showing progression in complexity and scope.
- At least five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Caseware.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, Munis, or Incode.
